About Pasta
In short
Pasta is a personal trainer for iPhone that builds a workout when you ask. While you train, voice guidance enables a hands-free workout.
In one paragraph
Pasta is a personal trainer in your pocket. Ask for “a 30 minute upper body workout”, and it’ll build it for you. While you train, the app uses voice as a guide, so you can focus on pushing yourself hard. It does plans too! Tell it what you’re training for and it writes a plan around the days you can train. The app runs on Apple Intelligence and needs no account. Your progress and health data stays on your device. Requires an iPhone with Apple Intelligence on iOS 27.
The longer version
Pasta builds your workout when you ask for one. Hold to talk and say what you want, like “thirty minutes, upper body, dumbbells only”, or type it. Pasta comes back with a full session: exercises, sets, reps and rest. Don’t like the lunges? Say so and Pasta swaps them. Found a workout on YouTube or on a webpage? Paste the link and Pasta turns it into a session if it can.
Once you press play, Pasta reads out every set and rest, so the phone can stay in your bag. The timer shows on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, in a widget and on Apple Watch, with your heart rate live from the watch or a Bluetooth chest strap. Workouts save to Apple Health and count toward your Activity rings.
For longer goals, you tell Pasta what you’re training for: a half marathon, a Hyrox race, a bigger deadlift. It writes the weeks around the days you can train, starting from weights you’ve already lifted. A plan with no end date keeps going, with a lighter week every fourth. Every week you also get a one-page report with your records, resting heart rate, sleep and an estimated VO₂ max.
Pasta runs on Apple Intelligence. There’s no account to create, no ads and no tracking, and your training history and health data stay on your device.
Version 1.1 is ready for iPhone Duo, which goes on sale on 23 October. Closed, Pasta lays out your day in two columns, and open, in three. Two Pasta windows can sit side by side, and when the phone stands folded, StandBy shows the exercise you’re on with your rest counting down.

- Pasta shows your heart rate live from Apple Watch or a Bluetooth chest strap such as the Polar H10, Garmin HRM-Pro Plus or Wahoo TICKR.

- Plans without an end date keep going, with a lighter week every fourth week.
- The exercise library has 873 exercises with instructions, and technique videos for the common ones.
- Workouts save to Apple Health and count toward your Activity rings.
- Insights shows heart-rate zones, active minutes, training load and a readiness check based on your latest HRV, resting heart rate and sleep.

- Siri can tell you what’s on today and whether you’re ready to train.
- On iPhone Duo, Pasta uses two columns closed and three open, runs two windows side by side, and shows your current exercise in StandBy.
- Pasta needs no account, shows no ads and doesn’t track you. Your training history stays on your device.
